Nokian Tyres is modernizing its brand presentation and is aiming at becoming more attractive in strategic growth areas. The new brand design stresses the long company history, a sustainable business strategy and commitment to Scandinavian values. It focuses on a promise to provide peace of mind by all means.
The new brand presentation is highly influenced by simple aesthetics of Scandinavian designs. Furthermore, it will introduce a new font, “Nokian Tyres Sans“: Our graphic designers were inspired by the original font from the 19th century in order to celebrate the 120th anniversary of our company and to honour our long history, explains Antti-Jussi Tähtinen, Vice President for Marketing and Communication.
“As Scandinavian company, it goes without mentioning that we take care of humans and nature. We want to be first choice for demanding customers – for those looking for absolute peace of mind via cutting-edge technology, and also for those expecting our company to take responsibility for its activities and their impact on the environment”, explains Hille Korhonen, Managing Director and CEO at Nokian Tyres. The reorientation of the brand is to increase the success of Nokian Tyres, above all in the growth markets North America and Central Europe, where the brand is expected to grow outside the traditional winter tyre market too. “Nokian Tyres is a strong player in the market, particularly in the area of winter tyres – and this is meant to be maintained. Thanks to our Scandinavian roots and to our products for demanding conditions, we are excellently prepared to continue growing in segments like summer or all-season tyres. Our newly designed brand image stands for absolute peace of mind and will support our growth to a high degree, says Korhonen. The new brand presentation of Nokian Tyres will step by step be introduced in spring 2018.
