The Nexen Tire Europe Niederlassung Deutschland and the Technical Center Europe have moved together in a newly built company location of about 11,000 square metres in Lise-Meitner-Straße 1 in 65779 Kelkheim. The new building was set up after thirteen months of construction time. According to company information, there was a clear focus on the use of environmentally friendly building materials and on placing orders with local companies.
The uniform design of the new Nexen Tire headquarters can be noticed both in the facade and in the respective rooms. The patter represents the structure of a tyre tread. According to information from people being responsible, more than 80 employees will find modern work places in open rooms, which are based on the principle of “agile and spontaneous interaction” and are supposed to offer opportunities for productive working, creative ideas and target-oriented communication. Furthermore, there will be sufficient room for visitors and also for customer meetings. “As a consequence of spatial merging of the business areas management, sales, marketing as well as research and development, we will proverbially work hand in hand." Thus, we will create synergies by taking decisions across business areas based on short distance paths. Then, we will be able to give fast answers to our customers, and to be a reliable partner with continuous product innovations in the future. Due to investment in the new company location in Kelkheim and the fully-automated European plant in the Czech Republic, NEXEN TIRE will be well prepared for further increases in its market shares in spite of a currently predatory competition”, illustrates Ho-Chan Kang, CEO at NEXEN TIRE Corporation.
