Laufenn makes debut in commercial vehicle segment

As of now, Hankook’s brand Laufenn will be active in the truck and bus tyre market. The portfolio of the brand consists of nine treads and will start with a total of 31 dimensions.

Since the beginning of this year, the tyres have been available via the distribution partners point S, Reifen Helm and Reifen Müller in Germany. “Fleet customers trust our service and consultation for the selection of the right tyre. At the end of the day, above all in a dynamic environment with many customers, economic success will depend on operating costs to which tyres of course belong as well. Hankook offers a smart choice to fleet customers with new tyres for trucks and busses of the brand Laufenn”, says Alfred Wolff, Managing Director at point S Deutschland GmbH.

Broad range of use

The offered treads are to be used when transporting goods and people as well as on construction sites. According to company information, Hankook’s Laufenn line-up will aim at the second level of the Germany market and there predominantly small and medium-sized fleet partners.

“With the new truck and bus tyres of the secondary brand Laufenn, Hankook launches products with a good price-performance ratio, which represent the reliable quality of a premium tyre manufacturer. Thus, the new Laufenn treads will complement the offer for commercial vehicles in a meaningful way. We will even much better be able to meet our customers’ and market requirements”, explains Sascha Kemper, Head of Purchasing, Distribution and Marketing at Reifen Helm.

Laufenn’s new range of products offers five tyres for regional transport, three for construction and material transport as well as one for city bus traffic. According to company information, more than 85 per cent of the total need for different sizes will be covered. Moreover, recutting and retreading is possible for all the treads and the majority disposes of the 3PMSF labels.

Underground conveyor belts at a length of three kilometres make the transport of the material possible.
