Prinx Chengshan

Brand tyres for a new generation

The new brand Prinx presents a product portfolio that was especially developed for the European market. Thus, all the requirements in the segments of passenger cars and SUVs were covered.

The brand Prinx is the new flagship brand of the tyre manufacturer Prinx Chengshan. The family business that works at an international level was founded in China in 1976 and is listed on the stock exchange. The company’s sustainability campaign is also visible in the new tyre brand. According to company information, the high quality is based on technological innovation and details as well as stylish look. Thus, the brand is above all aiming at young car drivers (generation Z and millennials), who consider sustainable aspects of a product as important as having fun.

Focus on alternative drives

The majority of Prinx tyres is produced in a modern production plant in Thailand that was opened in 2020. According to company information, the technologies used there save among others up to about 40 per cent of energy during production.

The tyres that were developed for European climate conditions cover each type of requirements. Friends of sporty driving behaviour will be happy with the tyre portfolio as well as short-distance city drivers or owners of electric vehicles. The topic of alternative drives covers a huge area too. From the get-go, Prinx offered a huge selection of tyres for electric vehicles with 69 tyre variations. “The requirements for vehicles with alternative drives vary a lot from those of traditional tyres”, explains Thomas Wohlgemuth, Managing Director Europe. “Our parent company provides us with year-long experience in development and practice. The big lead of the Chinese market is in this case a real advantage for us.”

One all-season and five seasonal specialists

Already at the start, the product portfolio of the brand Prinx offers a total of six different models for vehicles running on fuel and diesel as well as a big selection of tyres for vehicles with alternatives drives. The all-season tyre together with tyres for e-vehicles is part of the opening. The all-season Quattura 4S was developed for passenger cars and SUVs and is available from 14 to 20 inches. The comfort-oriented EV summer tyre XLab is available in 34 sizes for passenger cars and SUVs with part and full electric drive as well as the Xnex Sport, an EV summer tyre in 35 sizes.

The ultra-high-performance tyre (UHP) Aquila Pro is offered in dimensions from 14 to 19 inches in the summer portfolio for passenger cars and SUVs. The Aquila Rev is a UHP summer tyre for passenger cars and SUVs and is available in sizes from 17 to 22 inches. Moreover, the Winter Excelia is already on sale as winter tyre for passenger cars and SUVs from 14 to 19 inches. As of spring 2023, the portfolio will be available for wholesale.
