Pneuhage Group attracted ZC Rubber as a rather capable trading partner in order to operate in European markets. During a meeting with editors of AutoRäderReifen-Gummibereifung, its President Shen Jin Rong emphasized the quality standards of the brand Westlake in the commercial vehicle segment. The Chinese tyre giant ZC Rubber has heavily been investing in the development of the new Westlake truck tyre series.
Pneuhage Group works as a partner concerning development and marketing – we have already reported in detail several times. In the framework of the tyre trade fair, Shen Jin Rong, President, confirmed the plan to move the brand Westlake away from the budget segment in the commercial vehicle area. The European and above all the German market will play a key role in this respect. The new Westlake treads are to fulfil the specific European quality standards. Partners like Interpneu are supposed to help defining the demands and increasing product quality. In the end, Westlake products are expected to be sold at a higher price too.
The Chinese are also drawing a lot of attention by offering special measures like a driver grant. This is intended to support driver training, to establish Westlake as a serious brand and to raise awareness with regard to relevant forwarding agents. Furthermore, ZC Rubber, the manufacturer of Westlake truck tyres, will support training and further education of drivers with a grant of 5,000 euro. The official ceremony of handing over the voucher is to take place during the trade fair IAA Commercial Vehicles in Hanover in September 2016. Responsible people consider the grant to be a part of the implementation of ZC Rubber’s guiding principles. According to the Chinese tyre manufacturer’s own information, structuring mobile future successfully will not only depend on the production of quality products in modern factories. Based on the slogan „to craft a better future“ measures like the WESTLAKE Driver Grant are to help focusing on specific problems of companies in the transport industry.
