The latest generation of BMW X3 will be equipped with the Yokohama Advan Sport V105 as an OE option. Starting with its market launch, the new BMW X3 will be available in two different tyre dimensions, either 225/60R18 104W or 245/50R19 105W. Run-flat technology will be used for both editions.
The ADVAN Sport V105 is the first Japanese tyre used in original equipment by BMW, and was especially developed for the use on high-performance vehicles. According to company information, excellent handling, high comfort and safety were parts of the engineers’ specification sheet. The star-shaped marking at the sidewalls of ADVAN Sport V105 is the praising indicator of the close cooperation with BMW. Apart from the original equipment of the X3, Yokohama will also equip different BMW racing teams. The M3 of Team Schnitzer Motorsport won the World Touring Car Championship in 1987 and the European Touring Car Championship in the following year. BMW vehicles driving with Yokohama tyres won a total of five 24-hour races at Nürburgring and in Spa-Francorchamps. In 1985, a BMW 635CSi running on Yokohama tyres won the first title in class 3 of the All-Japan Touring Car Championship in Japan.
