Uniwheels will increase market share in Europe by 5 per cent

The German manufacturer of light metal wheels, Uniwheels, which is listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, presented its Strategy 2022. ATS, Rial, Alutec and Anzio are well-known group brands. At the moment, the group disposes of four production plants, of which three are based in Poland (Stalowa Wola) and one in Germany (Werdohl). Uniwheels supplies the international automotive industry (Automotive Segment), the replacement market (Accessory Segment) and international motorsports as manufacturer of light metal wheels.

Uniwheels will focus its Strategy 2022 on “technology leadership” as development partner. According to responsible people, the strategy program consists of five strategic areas, which are supposed to guarantee growth by focusing on technological innovation and market expansion and at the same time conscientious management of costs, cash flow, and investment planning. These goals aim at a rise in production capacity to over 14 million wheels by expanding production plants, increasing the customer base and raising the market share in Europe by 5 per cent, at focusing on premium customers with a high international export share and increasing market shares in Europe as well as the production presence in international markets. The Strategy 2022 of Uniwheels has also clearly defined financial target figures. Thus, the annual turnover is to be raised to over €700 million. An EBIT margin of more than 10 per cent, EBITDA margin of more than 15 per cent and net liabilities/EBITDA of less than 2,0x are also mentioned.

According to company information, Uniwheels produced about 8 million wheels in its four production plants. The new plant 4 was opened in Stalowa Wola in June 2016. The plant is meant to produce 2 million wheels per year, which is to be increased to a total capacity of about 10 million wheels as from 2017. (kle)
