The tyre brand Uniroyal is announcing a voluntary exchange program for winter tyres of the model SnowMax 2 in size 195/60 R 16 C for about 500 vans. According to group information, parts of the tyre tread of a certain production period could start getting loose because of a rubber compound not being in compliance with guidelines.
Uniroyal says that parts of the tyre tread could come off or that the driving behaviour could be influenced. According to Uniroyal, there have not been any accidents or consequential damages due to this. The exchange program is to be started on a voluntary basis in order to avoid potential risks for car drivers or any other road users. The affected tyres were only delivered to customers in Germany, Switzerland, France, the Netherlands and Croatia.
