Apart from Yvo Schnarrenberger, CEO of Ronal Group, and Juan Manuel Carreras Lopez, Governor of San Luis Potosí, there were also Louis-José Touron, Swiss Ambassador, the management of Ronal Group as well as managing directors of subsidiaries, several guests from politics and economy or suppliers and press representatives on site. Production was started in the new plant in March 2016, where 2.2 million tyres are to be manufactured in the first stage. A total capacity of about four million tyres per year will be achieved in the second stage. The company intends to guarantee quality by making use of modern technologies like flow forming, MCR for multi-coloured tyres or its own test centres. Concerning a demand for energy efficiency, the new plant is to follow the new sustainability concept Planblue. As a consequence, e.g. heat recovery plants are exclusively used which enable a reuse of emissions for the process and exhaust air goes out as clean air only, which means in a CO2 neutral way. (akl)
