According to information from Pirelli, it has cracked the mark of 500 homologations for run-flat tyres, which means in detail: 326 homologations for summer tyres, 100 approvals for winter tyres, and 90 releases for all-season tyres. Pirelli received the latest homologation from Alfa Romeo for a run-flat tyre.
Manufacturers like BMW, Cadillac, Dodge, Jeep, Mercedes or Mini choose run-flat treads from Pirelli as an option. The technology is available for the treads P Zero, Cinturato, Scorpion, Scorpion Winter, Winter Sottozero Series 3 and Winter Sottozero Series II. According to company information, the range of products covers in the area of 18 inches or bigger 97 per cent of the range of dimensions. Producing tailor-made tyres for prestigious vehicles of the automotive manufacturers is the core element of the Pirelli Perfect Fit strategy.
