Goodyear has announced that the new Jaguar E-PACE of the British car manufacturer will be equipped with tyres of the brand Goodyear. The compact SUV will get the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 SUV and the Eagle F1 Asymmetric SUV All-Terrain as standard fitting. Both tyres are marked with “JRL” in order to indicate Jaguar Land Rover’s approval as original equipment.
The Goodyear engineers developed the tyres according to the manufacturer’s special requirements concerning rolling resistance, weight and good cross-country mobility. Goodyear offers three of the six tyre sizes in the category “A” of fuel efficiency with low rolling resistance. Two further sizes are equipped with the Goodyear SoundComfort Technology: According to company information, a foam strip in the inner liner reduces the internal tyre noise by up to fifty per cent (minus 4 dBA) on average. “The development and production of tyres for new models from Jaguar Land Rover demonstrate once again how well we understand the requirements of a premium manufacturer and how we are able to meet them”, explains Nick Harley, Managing Director OE Consumer EMEA at Goodyear.
