GETTYGO is made in Germany, but the platform has also established itself in Austria, France, and Belgium. At the beginning of 2018, GETTYGO started in Spain too. The people being responsible took stock: During the first six months, 1,500 customers registered after entering the market.
The customers in Germany are supposed to benefit from the internationalization of the platform too. Similar to both France and Belgium, the Spanish market gets deliveries from the independent business area GETTYGO SAS, which is located in Strasburg. “Our system of central invoicing and the principle of having one contact partner for all the suppliers is well accepted in Spain”, clarifies Steffen Fritz, Managing Director. As a precondition, a complete infrastructure for the Spanish market was set up in Strasburg, which means that the service was fully adapted to customers in Iberia. All the personal contact partners of the hotline at GETTYGO are native speakers. Furthermore, the business is carried out via a Spanish tax representation, so that the collective invoices can be issued in Spanish and with the value added tax being valid there. According to the company, the partnership also enables a co-operation with local recycling companies, and thus, all the prices indicated on the platform include the costs for professional disposal too.
According to information form Fritz, the rollout of GETTYGO on the peninsula offers synergies for German customers too. Spanish dealers, who dispose of the necessary logistics to deliver tyres and wheels (truck tyres included) to the German market, were added to the portfolio of suppliers. “As a consequence, we also guarantee the language competence of our contact partners, so that we are able to solve possible problems for all the customers using their national language, including a German customer placing an order with a Spanish supplier. This system works for all the other relationships in our European network too”, explains Fritz.
